“Action Plan for Achieving SDG 6.5 (IWRM) in Kazakhstan”
At the seminar with the participation of government agencies, experts, NGOs and international organizations, a Practical Action Plan for improving water resources management will be presented, which at the global level has been announced as one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6.5).
SECOND CENTRAL ASIAN CONFERENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE, TASHKENT, 02-04 APRIL 2019 ENDED
The conference participants, recognizing the need for global and national strategies for adaptation to climate change, also recommended that greater attention be paid to the introduction of accessible technologies at the local level.
The network of sustainable development experts as a partner of the National Water Partnership of Kazakhstan supported the development of a National Action Plan for the implementation of SDG 6.5 (IWRM) in Kazakhstan

In Arnasay village, in the Green technologies center of Akmola region, the next training on dissemination of available technologies for sustainable energy and water supply, organic food and sustainable housing was held on 7 December 2018.
The participants of the training - representatives of small and medium business, farmers and NGOs from neighbouring villages have discussed a best practices and green technologies.
A teleconference was held on "Adaptation to climate change in local communities" on September 25, 2018. The event was organized jointly by the Civil Society Development Association (ARGO) and the World Bank. For the first time, representatives of all five Central Asian countries took part in this kind of teleconference. The event was broadcasted live from the World Bank offices in Almaty, Astana, Bishkek, Ashgabat, Dushanbe and Tashkent.
Dissemination of a best practices and green technologies is a priority of many
programs and strategies of the countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus and other
countries. It has special significance for vulnerable population, out settlements,
marginal territories, farms, small and medium-sized businesses.
INTRODUCTION OF INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN KAZAKHSTAN
September 21, 2017 in Astana hosted the National Workshop of concerned parties “Implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)” within the framework of the indicator 6.5.1 of the Sustainable Development Goals- 2030 (SDG-2030).
Within the framework of the forum, the Scientific and Educational Center "Green Academy" jointly with the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC "Samruk-Energo" held a session on "Institutional and economic mechanisms for transition to low-carbon development".
On May 21, 2015, in the Media City Debate Hall of the Palace of Independence, a panel session "Decarbonization and carbon trade - drivers of the new economy" was organized by the Scientific and Educational Center "Green Academy" in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Economic Research of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of UNDP and USAID.

On May 22, 2012, the "Network of Experts for sustainable development in Central Asia" (NESDCA) with the Higher Party School of the People's Democratic Party "NurOtan" within the V-th Astana Economic Forum with support of UNDP in Kazakhstan and the Global Green Growth Institute held the Roundtable on "The model of strategic planning for the transition to sustainable economy."
On May 21, 2014 under the AEF-7 in the Media City’s Hall of debates of the Palace of Independence was held the Panel Session «Smart Green Business Forum» organized by the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Scientific Research and Educational Center "Green Academy", The Network of Experts for Sustainable Development of Central Asia (NESDCA), European Union Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan and USAID Mission in Central Asia.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection, together with the Scientific and Educational Center "Green Academy" and the Network of Sustainable Development Experts of Central Asia (SECTUR), with the support of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), held a training seminar on 20-21 June 2013 on the topic "The concept of the transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a" green "economy: priorities and mechanisms for effective implementation."
